Hypnosis in Education

Hypnosis has much to offer in many different areas and its potential in the field of education is especially significant. The advantages of hypnosis and self-hypnosis should not be overlooked, as an aid in the learning process.

Peter C. Mutke, MD, in reporting results of an experimental project, stated that using hypnosis, "Group A" achieved their goal in one-fifth the time needed by "Group B", which did not utilize hypnosis! The goal was to increase reading speed from 250 wpm to 1224 wpm.

When applied to the learning process, hypnosis is particularly promising, for the individual is as relaxed as possible . . . and we do learn more efficiently when relaxed. The student is much more receptive to the study material and his ability to concentrate is increased to a maximum level.

The student can observe new material more rapidly, so less study time is needed, and recall is greatly facilitated. Through proper use of self-hypnosis, the student can motivate himself, improve study habits, and learn to study without distraction and retain what he learns. He will recall his knowledge when needed and approach exams without fears or tensions.

Ten years ago, hypnosis was a mysterious, sometimes frightening word. Today, its applications extend from space travel to helping physicians, dentists, and other professionals, in their work. The principles of hypnosis are being applied in many ways by lawyers, ministers, educators, athletics, salespersons, and actors in many other areas of businesses and industry. It is being employed to great advantage by law enforcement agencies to sharpen recall of witnesses and has proven to be a valuable asset in investigative work.

Few people understand what they can accomplish by learning the techniques of hypnosis and sell hypnosis. Once you have learned to use this scientific tool you can relax . . . utterly and completely. This power of relaxation can be the key to success, allowing the sub-conscious mind to develop and apply its resources.

Inner poise, effortless speech, outstanding memory, can all be acquired in a short time. Once you master the technique of self-hypnosis, you will have a priceless asset for the rest of life.

Thinking positively about yourself is the first step in any self-improvement program. Your future depends on this inner self, the way you think about yourself. You can develop - and retain - a confidence you never believed possible, utilizing the power of the subconscious mind . . . through hypnosis.
